Default What was this ?

Hi All,
I recently purchased this 16 ga. It has some sort of leather laminate shim and
and nothing else. See photos. Anyone know about this ? Thanks.

Best,

Jeff

It looks as if someone was changing the pitch and/or LOP. The screw holes would suggest a buttplate that is missing.

What is the length of pull right now as it is with those spacers on there? And also to the wood without the spacers?

Brian,

LOP to the end of the wood is 13.5"
LOP to the end of the add on is 14 "

Best regards,

Jeff

It appears as though someone removed a rather strangely applied leather covered pad...

I do not know what your preferred LOp is, but that length makes for plenty of room to install a period correct recoil pad and have up to a 14.5" LOP. If you like a shorter LOP, a dogs head buttplate could even be fitted and put back on.

Brian,

I'm a tall fellow. I like the idea of a period correct pad.

Thanks for the advice.

Best regards,

Jeff
