I would do as Mike suggests.

I agree with Gunbroker and use it regularly . However I start my auctions at what I need to get for an item .

I would speak with a representative from each company to clearly understand all cost involved.
I would also solicit feedback from members asking they send this to you by PM.
I think its a combination of local sales, Gun Broker starting off at a penny, and some to auction. Locally consigning guns can also be a good option.
In a few cases Josh has offered some of his SXS here first to members.
Depends on the gun and how quickly they need to be sold.

To handle a collection of that size takes time and a true understanding of how to navigate the current marketplace. I would recommend finding an expert that can manage the process start to finish to obtain the best value for you and your family. Josh Lowensteiner is excellent at handling this type of collection and the perfect guy for the job.

Do your homework is the key.

I have not bought from Morphy's yet, but have had good experiences with Rock Island.

I sold quite of few of my Collectible Colt and Smith revolvers on Gun Broker starting off at a penny. They received a lot of bids and received more than I had expected.
For lower priced guns the local gun shows can be quit effective. To me just not worth the trouble to deal with shipping and commissions and listing fees.
When it comes time to sell my graded Model 21’s and possibly few others I will be calling Josh more then likely.
I have been most pleased selling here knowing guns are going to members.
