Default WW Greener Sidelever

I would love to shoot this gun. It has a great feel and is light for a 12. Sadly, it is not mine but a good friend's, and he has never entertained the idea of shooting it. The rib is engraved St. Marys Works Birmingham. It has 30 barrels that are quite light and still show some nice damascus pattern. On my guage they measured IC/IC. The chambers appear to be 2 1/2. Ser # is 13095.
Would love to introduce this gun to my setters and some pheasants.
hmm, me thinks I would like a hammer gun!

As long as the bores are good and barrel walls not too thin, there is no reason not to shoot the gun. RST loads in the 1100 -1150 fps range should be fine.

BTW... I believe I may have handled this gun at the Southern SxS this Spring. Or, one very much like it.

And yes... one English hammer gun just leads to another... and another.

Harold:
If it were me, I'd snag that gun if I could. Price? I can't say. Maybe somewhere south of $2000. But as long as buyer and seller are happy, who cares?

That is nice. Side lever guns are nice to shoot also. You get used to the lever pretty quickly.

I can just about quarentee you would like a hammer gun, and that one would be a great first one. They are a lot of fun over pointing dogs.
