Default Milestone Auction

Anyone watching (or participating in) the Milestone Auction this weekend? They had some very interesting old advertising pieces. No Parker stuff, but lots of old shot shell maker advertising.

Among the treasures at this auction were these three pieces from the early 1900s. I'm always fascinated when I see original pieces like this, over 100 years old, still intact.

I got a Remington Model 32 12 gauge 28” skeet gun that has what appears to be factory vent rib . This one might get a set of fitted 20 gauge tubes but I doubt I go whole hog for 28’s and 410’s .

Have you bought from Milestone before?

I thought I had but I went back and looked at my Invaluable history and I’d not bought from them before . Think I’d just bid on a few of their items in the past .

They had two Stevens 44 1/2 rifles that were made during the time when H.M. Pope was involved with Stevens and as such the barrels were stamped “Stevens-Pope” . These sold Saturday and as I waited to bid sitting on the couch I dozed off and missed them . Just as well I would’ve needed to scratch up some 32-40 brass for either one . One of them had a second barrel in 28-30 Stevens , that would’ve been Intresting as I’ve never messed with the cartridge but have wanted to ever since I became intrested in shall we say schuetzen type stuff .

I purchased a near mint Remington M-11 D Tournament grade from them last year. They come up with some great stuff and are very nice people to work with in my opinion.

Wassup with all the pics? All I see are little blue square boxes with a ? in them.

Hmmm… I see images. Maybe the issue is at your end?

I was mildly surprised and in a positive way .

Insured shipping for the Model 32 was a couple bucks less than $60 , by auction house standards thats not bad at all . I bought a gun for less than $400 from an auction house in SC and shipping from them was in excess of $120 .
