Default 28 Ga. Hammer gun

Well I have been looking for a 28 Ga. double for sometime to go with my little Acme arms 44 and man I found this American Gun co. leaning against the wall in a gun shop with a bunch of other guns smothering it so it was almost impossible to see unless you were digging for it and I was.It needs a little work on the forend but is tight as a drum and seeing how I can't afford the expensive guns I have to buy these. It has some nickle plating which I believe is original. I think its a keeper.

I'm refinishing a 28ga. Belgian guild hammer gun for a fellow right now that was made in 1937 and has, suprisingly enough, 70 mm (2 3/4") chambers with barrels made of "Cockerill" steel. It has the dangdest piece of "canoe paddle" fiddleback wood you will ever see. It looks almost air brushed. It is also scroll engraved with a steel butt and straight gripped. Galazan had one a while back at about $4K. The only thing wrong with this one is that it isn't mine. Lee!

I will try to remember to do so Thomas when I get it back together. Right now it is scattered all over the shop. Lee.
