Barrel was returned on Friday. Just to show what can be done with modern laser microtigging. That weld "bead" is about .006" above the surface. I'll finish it off with a fine file. Bluing on the adjacent barrel surface was not damaged in the slightest.

Any laser microtig source should be able to do work of this quality.

Link Wray was an institution here in Washington, DC. He played in local clubs for several years in my teenage period. Funny about that "club" business. They were "bars" in the Link Wray period, "clubs" in documentaries about the time.

Poetic license?

By elevating the social status of a 'bar' to that of a 'club' elevates the status of the author from merely being another 'voice' to being a 'historian'.

Or one goes from being a drunk to becoming a patron

Here's the original version of "Rumble" Sorry if there is a bit of a commercial at the beginning.

Sure thing Dave. I will see you all there.

It is a great time and the shooting is very challenging.

I do not know what will happen with me and this shoot in the upcoming years since it looks like we will be changing the dates that we hold the local Rochester Gun Shows. And they my conflict with Hausmans starting next year. And I can't exactly play hooky on a show that I help direct.

I'm planning on going--had a great time last year.
Let's see, I've got 6 Foxes and 4 Parkers-what team do I shoot on?

If you're good you shoot for Team Parker. Conversely, if you're not so good, Team Fox could probably use you

Does anyone else plan on tent camping? I did last year and it was wonderful. No bugs to speak of, and a sky full of stars. If there are a few more interested in Camping, I'm sure Ernie could be convinced to have a porta-john parked down towards the far corner of the parking field.
