Thanks Harold - I'm away from my reloading bench right now and the recipes I have.

Those certainly do look like the ones I use.

I use the same loads Dean does 20/28 in AA Hulls. Lighter charges for my Grandson heavier for me.

Having said that also load 3/4 oz & Green Dot in Gun Club Hulls for a 20 G Beretta 391 Sporting. Different hulls keep the auto loaders shells separated . Lot more pressure with Green Dot. Gas operated auto needs pressure two Parker Trojans don’t.

All considered it’s hard to beat 20/28 in the 20G

After a few boxes, I’m satisfied I’ve found my load. Cheddite 2.5”, 14.5 grains 20/28, SG20L wad, 3/4 Oz , WIN209, 6 point crimp.

Hi Edgar plus,

I sent some test loads out to Tom Armbrust a couple weeks ago that are similar to what you've loaded above and you and the other guys may be interested in how they performed.

* 2 3/4" Remington Gun Club hull, 0.70 ounces of #8's, Rem STS209 primer, 14.3 grains of 20/28 using a CB1075-20 wad: 1244 fps, 8520 psi average.

(0.70 ounces is about 21 BB's shy of 0.750 ounces of #8 shot.)

* I also sent him some 0.7 ounce #8 loads in RST 2 1/2" hulls as follows: Win 209 primer; 14.3 gns of 20/20 in that CB1075-20 wad = 1224 fps, 7680 psi, average.

I also sent him some of my 20 gauge 1/2 ounce loads in case anyone is interested in the light stuff.

* 20 gauge, 2 3/4" Rem Gun Club hull, 1/2 oz #8's, Rem 209 primer, 12.8 gns of 20/28 in a CB1075-20 wad with a 0.510"dia x 0.140" thick card wad in the bottom = 1183 fps, 4140 psi, avg.

* 20 ga. 2 1/2" RST hull, 1/2 oz #8's, Win 209 primer, 12.8 gns 20/28, CB1075-20 wad with that 0.510 " card wad in the bottom = 1138 fps, 4580 psi, avg.

(I get those 0.510" x 0.140" card wads from Craig Smith, Circle Fly Wads.)

For anyone interested in loading some light 1/2 ounce 12's in 2 3/4 and 2 1/2 inch hulls, I've had those tested too. I've been loading and shooting them for more than 5 years. Light and Sweet. Around 1300+ fps and 5000 psi average.

PM me or maybe start a new thread.
