Default Stock Shields

I have been searching for examples of shields used on AAH or A1S guns and so far I have only been able to find a few pics that depict a fairly standard oval shield. I have looked at TPS, searched the forum and did a little internet searching without much luck. I have not searched the digital PP's as of yet. Would anyone have an example(s) other than the standard oval shape they would be willing to share? Thanks in advance !

The plate was in the grip cap on PG and half PG stocks. On straight stocks it was the usual shield. You saw those a month ago.

Yes I did Bruce but I just had it in my mind that on these higher grades there may have been other shields used on the straight stocks.... Thanks !

Ovals are standard on Grades D and above. Higher grade (B-A1S) would be gold ovals and ovals are what would be used on Straight grip guns. Pistol grip guns would have either an oval, or a gold grip cap.

In case you don't have a pictured example, here's an A grade round knob with its gold "shield."

All three Parker Invincibles have some variation of this one and I have seen similar plates on three other Grade-7 & 8 guns. But when I saw the plates on the Grade-7 & 8 guns I wondered if they were original... only because I had seen so very few. One of them was for sale at Robin Hollow several years ago.
