Default Ward’s Auction

Very cool Parker poster from the recent Ward’s auction. Hope someone here was the lucky winner.

Yes. It must be one of the most valuable Parker paper items at that price

If it hadn't been professionally restored, it would have brought $5000 +.

And that is before the buyer's premium kicks in, so I understand

Default Shell boxes

I'm still trying to figure out what makes one worth $17 K and the next one worth $17. I can kind of understand some of the more artful boxes, but others don't appear to be so well decorated and still go for a high price. A local guy here has over 800 boxes. I don't really get it.

The pandemic doesn't seem to be dampening sporting collectibles prices. After 9 pm PST Friday I upped my spread on the eight items I was bidding on to what I thought were absurd prices and when I got up and checked on Saturday morning I'd only won four.
