Default Dan McCombs

Any one know when Dan McCombs the stock maker passed, I hear he has been gone for a few years, I have a gun that was restocked by him excellent work I might add, Gary

Dan was a real talent. I remember his A-1 Special upgrade, better than most factory high grades.

Years ago when I was in Jack Haugh’s shop he showed me a Parker that was upgraded to a A-1 Special. He had done the engraving and Dan McCombs had done the stock work. I asked who he thought was the best stock man for Parkers, he told me Dan McCombs without missing a beat.

No Qestion, Dan performed some of the finest stocking and finish work around

His Checkering was Absolutley Flawless...
I have an interesting Parker project Stocked and Checked by him
His work on it dates to the mid 1980’s

He was a slight and elderly gentleman, yet quite spry then...

No actual clue but I thought he was late 70s ...at least ...even then

Good Man. .... And an Exceptional Talent
