I wish you luck in your quest Marvin. You probably know the book for that serial number range is one of those which are 'missing'.

Thanks Dean, but no, I wasn't aware. From your answer, I assume a request for a Parker Letter would be fruitless.

Is there simply no way to verify the gun's provenance?

Best Regards,

Marvin

Checking Griffin and Howe's list of Parker numbers would be your last chance. Go to the research section of their website.

I checked their website just now, and no information available there either. So, as I understand it, there is simply no way to verify the provenance of this serial number. Correct?

If you'd tell everybody more about the gun and maybe post some pics you'd probably have better luck.

Thanks Destry and I'll do so should it come to that.

I've never bought a Parker before (only Repros), so I'm just learning the ropes so to speak. Still waiting for photos and info on a gun I'm considering.

Once I get some pictures I may take you up on your offer.

Thanks again to everyone for your guidance.

Research sources for Parker shotguns has about been covered. Any provenance you find from now on will not lead you to information about its factory origins, only possible past owners.
