Default 1907 parker VH bolt/boltplate question

Just acquired a 1907 VH 12 gauge that is slightly loose on bite and lever is left of center. This gun has the replaceable flat bolt plate and after experimenting a little i determined that 2 strips of clear tape placed on top of the bolt plate will remove all play and brings the lever back to center.
The question is are the flat bolt plates available and is replacement of the bolt plate the normal course of action to bring the lever back to proper location and to increase the bite?

The flat bolt plates are not really available. A stepped plate can be modified to work.
Usually when I have had to do what you are needing, I just replace the bolt with a new one.

Thanks for the reply. Where would one acquire a New bolt for a Parker and i would assume that it would need to be fitted? I noticed that my bolt has a few thousandths clearance up and down in the receiver channel... is this normal or is the bolt or channel possibly worn?

The clearance in the frame is no issue. The bolt needs to be able to move smoothly in the frame.

I sell newly manufactured bolts. And yes, they need to be fitted. But with a straight bolt, the fitting is minimal.
