Default Hard Rubber Butt Plate Bird

Hey Guys,
Need help settling a family debate: Wife just got a nice 20 ga. GHE and thinks the bird in the dogs mouth is a woodcock. I think it's a snipe. What was the official Parker line on this, or was it ever stated?

Thanks.

Mike

Officially it's a woodcock, although I personally prefer to think of it as a snipe.

Thanks John. Appreciate the prompt reply. Even tho I lost, I feel better that you also think it looks like a snipe! Admittedly a tough medium to do heavy-duty ornithological ID on. My wife will be SO pleased!

"Artistic License" says it's a woodcock but I agree with John.

Several members of the Lien family live in Pocatello and are knowledgeable Parker collectors .

Mike, I see that is where you are.

Thanks Bruce. Haven't run into them, or heard the name, but good to know.
