Yes that was me I'm sure. Mine is a 1914 Vh that had never been taken apart. I had thought about it needed cleaning but never got around to doing it. It doubled about five times opening day of dove season so I put it away and used another one. It had doubled once last year. That should have been enough of a warning. After cleaning i discovered the stock had cracked. Although it did not appear to be real dirty cleaning seems to have taken care of the problem. I sure hated the crack because that one is my all time favorite. I think if one doubles once it is wise not to shoot it until the problem is taken care of. We live and learn.
