Default Glad to be here!

Hi all,
Just joined up and looking forward to learning more about these great guns and more. I currently own three Parkers. Nothing fancy.
VH 12 ga, #2 frame, pistol grip stock
VH 12 ga, #2 frame, straight stock, pigeon gun
VH 20 ga, #0 frame, pistol grip stock
I also have a few other sxs shotguns I've gathered over the years.
Philadelphia Arms Co. Fox 12 ga, A grade
A. H. Fox Sterlingworth 12 ga
A. H. Fox Sterlingworth 20 ga
L. C. Smith 10 x 10 x .44-40 Drilling
L. C. Smith 16 ga field grade
American Gun Co. 16 ga, hammer gun
And an unmarked Belgium 12 ga percussion
Hoping to add to my knowledge, experience, and pick up a few tricks along the way.
Thanks for having me.

Default Welcome Aboard

Plenty of info to be absorbed here Keith. The first order of business I can think of when it comes to learning about Parkers would be for you to get a copy of The Parker Story if you do not already have one. It's like drinking from a fire hose, tons of info.

Tell us about that "Pigeon" gun. Barrel length, chokes, etc. We like pics a lot

Thanks Randy. I'll have to get a copy of the book. Always looking for good reading material.
The pigeon gun is a VH #2 frame, straight stock, without a safety. Barrels are 30" long, 2 3/4" chambers, choked IM/IM. It's been well used but not abused. Great bores and locks up tight.
I'd post a couple of pics but can't figure out how from my phone.

Go to the FAQ's on the home page and then scroll down to the bottom where you will find info on loading pics.

Keith you may consider going to the home page to the "Research Letters" where you can enter your guns serial number to see if there are any surviving records. If so I would suggest that you order a letter, never know what it might disclose.

Nice line up Keith! I've a lot of the same. I'm told I have "the sickness", but what do they know? My friend told me last week it's all about the excitement of "the chase". I believe he's right! I've never met a sxs I can say No to. You gotta love those sweet little Fox 20s.....Welcome aboard!

Thanks Chris! I'm not sure what I have? After buying all these I'm always tempted to get more. It's never enough. I especially hate seeing an old classic sitting on a rack somewhere that's been overly used and abused. I long to take it home to "save" it. Sometimes it takes every ounce of my good senses to walk away. Sometimes I give in. Is it a sickness or is it love? Maybe both.
