The serial number is 1147, made around 1872, early front action, Look at the pb in the shield on the barrels could this be an early attempt by Parker to make barrels? Gary

Does anyone know what the inside measurement of an 11 ga chamber would be? I have an early lifter which I thought was 12ga, however when you shoot a 12 ga shell it will often split the brass. It is serial number 4989. Just wondering if it could be an 11 ga? Carvel
