Default Parker DH Advice

Hi there,
I've recently been asked by a friend to assist with information about his father's Parker. In the last 40 years, I've dealt mostly with antique guns and do not consider myself a shotgun expert, let alone a Parker expert. The gun in question is a Parker DH, SN 208XXX, 2 3/4" chambers, Full/Cyl barrels, 32", single select trigger, Frame 2, weight 45. Believe this shotgun was made in 1924. I believe the forend lock base has been repaired and I suspect the entire gun has been restored. There is no documentation of any restoration work. The worse of it is I see a tight hairline on both side of the wrist (see pic). I have the following questions:

1) Can folks confirm the metal and wood have been restored? I see a poor metal/wood fit at the receiver. Can't believe an original Parker would be this way.
2) Any idea what effect a repaired wrist would be?

Thanks so much for the help and I have many other pics if required.

Mark
