Default Markover hunt wed 3/28 - 2 slots open

I have booked a morning hunt at Markover in Danielson, Ct for next Wednesday, march 27. The current weather forecast shows sunny and high of 48 degrees. I have 2 slots open for any 2 other hunters who wish to hunt with me and my setter, Sophie. Pm me if interested or email at anewell61@verizon.net. Markover closes on march 30th. I just want to get one more hunt with Sophie before they close. The date in the header is incorrect and should be Wed 3/27.

Great hunt today with fellow PGCA mbr Tom Jay and his setter Mack. Beautiful day in the field. It was super to see my setter Sophie back Tom's setter Mack and vice versa. This was the first time my setter has hunted together with another bird dog and both dogs hunted well. No issues thank goodness. Many solid points, and neither Tom nor I embarrassed ourselves in front of our dogs. All in all a terrific day in the field and a nice way to finish the season at Markover.

Hey, where are the pictures? This sounds like a hunt worth a photo or two.

I thought about that when the hunt was over. Left my cell phone in the car. I did invite my brother who is a highly skilled photographer but he had other commitments today. My bad. There were many classy points by our setters today and especially when they honored each others points.

Next time! Glad you both had a good hunt AND that your pups worked okay together. What a good way to end the season.

It would be fun to organize a PGCA hunt at Markover next fall. They have a lodge with full cooking facilities. If there is any interest, id be happy to take the lead on organizing. Assuming it would be ok with the powers that be.
