Great picture Mills!

Your new pup looks like he just can't get enough of that woodcock "smoke" up his nose!

Is that Parker a 28?

Remember my recipe for sauteed woodcock breasts....

It is a 28. It made the one shot of the hunt, but it connected. Woodcock season goes out Thursday but we have two days of quail hunting coming up in 2 weeks.

Mills are you going to Morrison Pines? Has your 28 been restocked by chance? A great gun for woodcock and quail congrats on the find I know you've looking for one.

No, not Morrison Pines unfortunately but a place near here

It has been restocked and pretty well completely redone. Can't ask for a better shooting gun though. The one shot I took was a frustration shot - long and several saplings in the way. Bird was dead when we found it

The stock job looks very Parker like the only reason I asked was the stock and forearm finish didn't match but soooooo what the birds won't mind

I'm just getting home from M.P. Another great hunt but its -5 here
Ike did a fantastic job.

I hope to add a 28 in more original condition. Hell, any excuse to get another one

What a treat to be hunting woodcock near the end of January! We've nearly two feet of hard crusted, wind blown, depressing snow here and will miss the end of the Iowa quail season due to the darned snow and single digit high temperatures.

Thanks for the picture. It's like a salve to the wound of missing the end of the season.

Thats a good goal Mills and a slippery slope. I'd hate to tell you how many "upland bird guns" I have.
