Default Phil Carr came to Newfoundland...

I'm still impressed he travelled all that way ,with the promise of few birds and long walks ....but he is Phil Carr after all
Even though our plans got changed for the worst last minute, We we did some shooting , Phil scratched down one of each he came for,he got a couple good naps on the barrens ,got to witness the unique NL grouse woods and windfalls and even fell in a bog hole -really good scores 10's all around !

Having hunted the fine Provence of Newfoundland twice in the last five years that looks very familiar to me. Beautiful country and GREAT folks there. Phil, did you fly up or take the ferry?

We had a great time, had lots of laughs, tried unsuccessfully for a Moose( too early and warm ) walked a lot ,burned up some shells on snipe ( sorry no pics ) and as these things are apt to do it went way too fast ,Phil was part of the family as soon as he walked in the door....I hope someday to convince him to make the trip again...in the last pic im holding two guns ...Phil liked when I carried his gun

I've always liked to take naps like that when grouse hunting but it's impossible these days with the ticks around here and the vile diseases they carry.

Great pictures Chris. You and Phil make a realy good team.
