Default New Avatar - Olga's Grace of Coronation

I see this beautiful face every hour of almost every day so I thought I would share her with you all.

She just turned four on June 5.

She comes from the Twombly Setter line started in 1925 by Earl Twombly in Vermont.

Earl's dogs won several prizes at the Boston Sportsmen's Show in the 40's and 50's and I am very lucky to have a setter from the Twombly lineage.

Grace is the most wonderful dog I have ever been owned by.

Oops just noticed your new Avatar in another post and commented and then saw this thread. The smaller picture in signature makes that dog look more older and wiser than she is, nonetheless its a captivating glamour shot for us dog lovers.

She's just coming back into full feather after the demands of a litter of pups this winter.

Dean, what was the source of your previous woodcock avatar?

It was from a painting by Lynn Bogue Hunt. I plan on using it again after Grace rewards me with a few woodcock points this fall.

I'm not certain but I may have taken it from the book "Upland Game Shooting" by H.L. Betton which was illustrated by LBH.

Beautiful Setter. Nothing quite like them...close, but not quite.
