Default Scarborough Sporting Clays, food, beer, and Cabela's - Sunday July 13th

The "NH boys" are planning a mid-summer get together to shoot some sporting clays at Scarborough Fish & Game this coming Sunday July 13th.

$37 for 100 targets for non members.

Range is open at 10:00. We plan on being there at 9:30AM.

After grinding up some clays, the next plan is to go have some lunch, toss down with a couple cold ones, and check out the Gun Library at Cabela's.

Looking to see if there if any PGCA members out there who would like to join the fun.

Reply to the post if you plan on attending. We will make sure we will wait for you before heading out into the course so we can all shoot together.

Frank, got your email on Kathy's smartphone but it isn't smart enough to reply to an email. Sorry, I can't make it this time but please don't write me off... Maybe next time?
Best, Dean

Frank and Dean, Ill be passing through that neighborhood around lunchtime and maybe could join you for lunch.

I wish I could shoot too but have to spend an overnight in NYC first and don't want to have to explain a shotgun to anyone there...

Today we went to Scarborough to shoot some sporting clays. You couldn't ask for better weather. Nice and sunny with a slight breeze with shade from the trees providing some relief from the heat and humidity. For most of us it was our first time there except for sharpshooter, Peter Lester, who has shot high gun at the Maine SxS championship earlier this year, and last year, and the year before that....

We will be going back again soon.

We all shot well although it seemed on some stations a person couldn't miss but then go to the next and you shoot a major "goose-egg".

Later we all had lunch to enjoy some local micro-brew, pizza, and finally check out the Gun Library at Cabela's in which one person is taking home and got a really nice deal on a VH 16 gauge -- which is rare if you know Cabela's. The prices were so out of whack.

Here are the pictures.

Bill Janelle and Pete Lester taking a break while we wait for Allan McLane to join us on station 10.

Yo Yo Yo... Steppin' up in my fresh black Chucks.....
And my NH homies say, "Yo MASS homeboy"....

Billie grinding up some clays...

Scottie showing "perfect form". He put on a "clinic" and scored HIGH gun with 79!! WTF!!

Yours truly

Eye protection -- CHECK!

I said A LOT of bad words that I can't "type here" at this station. It was a ignominious failure....

Here is Allan McLane who drove all the way from NYC to Maine to come join us. Glad you were able to make it Alan!

And lastly... Mr Pete Lester firing away creating some "diesel smoke" incinerating the clay. He just "punished" those clays hard. We all stood back and gazed in "awe".....

Once again, I wish I could have joined you all.

Where's the picture of the Parker from Cabela's?
He called me about the gun and I told him I thought it was a virtual "steal"!

Wish you could have joined us Dean. No picture of the gun but I did see it. It looked like a really nice honest VH 16.

I heard you got a "new member" in the Romig family??

Congrats!!

Hey, that was a lot of fun and I thank you guys for allowing me to join in halfway through.

The "new" Parker is a 16ga Trojan with "issues" that helped drive the price down but I have to go back with different ID before they will release it (Long and bureaucratic story). Hope to have it squared away tomorrow. My first Parker!

Just retrieved the 16ga Trojan. I'll put up my own photos later but for the curious, here is the listing (until they take it down). I didn't pay anywhere near their asking price ;]
