Default California SXS Society

You may have noticed in the Announcements column of the Spring Issue of Parker Pages that the California SXS Society had their State Championship and Exhibition April 3 - 6.

I just received an email from CASXS president Pat Moore with results for the shoot and a link to hundreds of pictures of the members, shooters and the wonderful old smoothbores of every description and brand.

Our good friend Dave Fjelline is in a few of the pictures and he is apparently healing well.
Enjoy the link and pour a glass and enjoy the photos of some fabulous guns.

Wow! Looks like fun. Lots and lots of guns on display.

As I looked at the pictures, at first I was wondering if you were actually going to shoot or..... just eat. Someone knows how to put on a feed.

So, how was the turnout? Were there many Parker guys in attendance? Did the PGCA presence generate much interest? Were there other collector groups there too? Did the event attract much in the way of the younger crowd (something I don't see on the East coast)?

Robin, I don't know the answers to your questions... perhaps someone who attended the event will respond.

As a point of interest re: your question about the "younger crowd", I looked at every picture in the album and saw maybe a half-dozen attendees under the age of fifty or so.

Thanks Dean, my post was aimed at the folks that attended. I hoped to get some feedback on what the double "gun" environment is like on the "left coast" and how the PGCA was viewed there. I hope someone that attended chimes in on this thread.
