Default Belgium ?

Picked up a 16 with proofs on the top of the barrels ,hard to see with these old eyes.looks like an oval with A W P or R then some very small writing maybe tyna within the oval. 16 ga.hammer gun .no maker .
on the watertable 1941 and70 on left barrel,I think16R on right brl.
it's choked right brl. cyl., left brl full . Lower priced gun when new.27 3/8"brls.uncut
Any one tell me anything about it?

the oval proof mark on a Belgium gun has an E L G in it

I'm familiar with the ELG mark and it's not it. The oval is horizontal and so are the letters. I am a computer Luddite and do not know how to post pictures
besides I doubt they would show up. [very faint]

here is a picture Herb sent me of the mark in question-
for the second one I tried to highlight the mark -

Herb- it's a gun or barrel maker's or importer's mark - not a proof mark - I don't recognize it but maybe someone will
is there a set of marks on the underside of the barrels? or the watertable

the mark on the watertable is mostly gone,it looks like it was a triangle but just
the corner of one side is visable ,other than that 16r,a serial#15852,and1941,70 Thanks,Herb
