Or maybe to drop down your barrel to knock out wades from bloopers while shooting. But after looking at it some more lookes awful long for a blooper knocker outer and to long for a plug and pretty big around for a wad pusher. And looks like it never been used for anything. Maybe its for knocking fish in the head so they ant floppin around while your cleaning them. ch

It's 6-1/2 in. long by 1/2 in. body and the top is 11/16 ths. across 3/8 wide.

My '97 has a 6 shell (2&3/4"ers) capacity. Takes a long plug to bring it down to two. Did the '12 have the same capacity?
Is the case designed for a double gun, or a takedown repeater? |

Magazine plug. The Winchester plugs were marked with the model numbers: 01, 97, 12. Don't know what brand this plug is for.
