Looks like a magazine plug for a pump or semi automatic shotgun

Or maybe to drop down your barrel to knock out wades from bloopers while shooting. But after looking at it some more lookes awful long for a blooper knocker outer and to long for a plug and pretty big around for a wad pusher. And looks like it never been used for anything. Maybe its for knocking fish in the head so they ant floppin around while your cleaning them. ch

I'm voting magazine plug. Just installed an identical one in a 870 goose gun about two weeks ago

My '97 has a 6 shell (2&3/4"ers) capacity. Takes a long plug to bring it down to two. Did the '12 have the same capacity?

Is the case designed for a double gun, or a takedown repeater?

Magazine plug. The Winchester plugs were marked with the model numbers: 01, 97, 12. Don't know what brand this plug is for.
