John , I would offer you luck but a fellow with your skill doesn’t need luck ! Do well as I’m quite certain you will !

We’ve had a great couple of days at the Grand. Shot in the Singles championship on Thursday. These were Mike Franzen’s first ATA registered targets and he got his first 25 straight and a patch to show for it. Mike was shooting his GHE and I shot my SB. I shot the Doubles championship yesterday and gave my GHE a little exercise. We shoot the Handicap championship today, Mike with his GHE and me with my SA. Maybe lightening will strike.

You both know that if you break one target you can break every single one... and you both know it’s a mind game.

Best of mental powers to you both!!

Fun times at the Grand . But first a fly over in the Grumman .

But we were not really vertical or inverted in the aircraft.

Between airplane flights , boat rides and shooting antique shotguns in a world of high tech space tech trap guns , there was time for libation and relaxation.

Finished up today and we had a wonderful time. I’ll let Franzen post his scores for the week but I will say he did great. I shot 195/200 in the Singles championship shooting my SB. I shot an 86/100 in the Doubles championship with my GHE. And I shot 91/100 in the Handicap championship with my SA. I was pleased and the Parkers out shot a whole bunch of 21st Century space guns.

Good shooting guys. I see a junior shooter broke 400 x 400 in the championship events. That's 200 x 200 in the singles, 100 x 100 in doubles, and 100 x 100 in handicap. Never been done in the history of the Grand American. I hope he played all the options.

This was my first trapshooting event so I really didn’t have many expectations except to have fun and break every target. I accomplished the former easily enough but not the latter. I shot about 175/200 in singles and 89/100 in handicap from the 20. Mr. Davis is the man when it comes to Not just shooting Parker guns but being a true competitor. Bruce Day is the consummate host providing plane rides, boat excursions, swimming, fishing, Parker gun display, Parker lore and much more. Needless to say It’s been a great time!
