Were those marked in any way either with a head stamp or something stamped on the plastic.

I think Blue Magic shells were head stamped with RP or similar ID. They loaded exactly like WWAAs. They are an excellent hull, every bit the equal of the AA. I still have a company comic book like loading brochure. I eventually trashed all mine through attrition as they SLOWLY wore out.

I have identical primed. low-brass blue shells, copper ring in primer pocket. One is marked "Imperial Made in Canada" and the other "Remington Peters." No markings on the plastic. No problems.

The only markings on these is thew no 12 and a couple of stars on the base of the hull.

sounds like a rio or fiochi.
the star gives it away. s&w made a dark blue hull in the early 80's but are marked S&W. peters will be marked PETERS on the plastic hull casing. heres a pic of current rios.

searching around - i see Rio and or Kemen Hulls (same?) having a number 12 with stars
a pawn shop? really - what do they give for empty hulls
