Hausmann's is the first week of June and I'll be concentrating on turkeys all of May so I think a shoot in late May/early June is a no-go for me.

Dean, I guess it will be you, the kids, Edgar and me. Have not heard from anyone else. By the way, the damascus barrels arrived today and i took them over to Dan C. Only minimum fitting will be required. They practically slid on. Only issue is the chambers were reported to me from the seller as 2 5/8 but after Dan measured them they are actually 2 1/8. Dan indicated there is plenty of metal to open the chambers to 2 3/4 's. Since i only shoot light loads there is no issue except the extra cost to open them. Barrels are clean, excellent condition

I’ll be there also, Allen.

With regard to those Damascus barrels, I would not do anything until I got a letter. It would be highly unusual for them to measure 2 1/8”, and if you were following another current thread regarding barrel measurements, Dr Drew shows a cross section of the chamber. The beginning of the forcing cone, moved forward 1/2” May yield a very thin wall section.
If the gun is actually chambered for shells of about 2 1/4”, it is almost certain to be a special order.
