Default Lucky Day

I run the shotgun at my club, and a guy calls and says he wants to donate all his reloading stuff, would I take it. He had a 2 SS Mecs - a 12 and 20ga, bunch of bars and bushings, 12#s of Hi-Scor 700X in a unopened metal drum, 4#s of Blue Dot, 800 Win primers, 5 to 600 once fired hulls, wads, and about 15 boxes of 1 1/8oz #9 shot loaded shells. I took the 700X and primers and told everyone else there to take what they want. I haven't seen the 12# drums of powder for quite some time. I still have one for PB, but it only has about 2#s in it. 700X is all I shot back in the 60s, and still do from time to time. More days like this would be nice.

Not as lucky as that, but a patient asked me if I was interested in buying 3 bags of shot for $50, as he no longer reloaded. Well, hell yes--and he brought me in a a bag of 6, 7 1/2, and 8 shot

Rick, you sound like one of the knuckle heads that sit around the table in shotgun. OK, I run the shotgun venue. Feel better now ? Anyway, that stuff usually happens to other people, not me. I should be all set for powder for quite some time.
