Well it's not a Parker (but a few Parkers were traded for them) But they are my favorites. The engraving is like a painting coming alive. And I loved hunting them down a Morrison Pines. 28 ga 5lbs 6 oz's I think.

Duh... I knew that. I think we shot them at Drake last year. Just bustin' ya'.

We will be shooting a few 28 ga. rounds so make sure they are lubed and ready.

This is a future quail gun for me, a J. Venables & Son 16ga with 30 inch barrels choked none and none as it was produced before choke was invented. The shells pictured are 2 inch roll crimp paper with 3/4 oz of 7 1/2.

J. Venables was located in Oxford from 1846 to about 1900.

Very nice! Michael McIntosh had a Purdey back action that looked like that gun and I always thought it was cool

I have a Stephan Grant back action that I have taken To Morrison Pines. I'd like to find an open choked 20. I have a Boss but it's pretty tightly choked. Quail are the only birds I hunt using a hammer gun.

Wow, VERY similar to my London Paton 16, also with open chokes, non rebounding hammers....I love shooting this gun!
