"Beefy" or "Not Beefy", my two 0 frame 28s are under six pounds. I have shot one of them for sixty years and it is a wonderful, light, bird gun with plenty of choke for pheasants and decoying ducks.

I have both frame sizes. If I'm hunting I take the OO frame guns if I'm going to shoot clays I'll generally us the O frame gun. To me this is about the same as a 16 on the O frame VS the 1 frame.

I’m gonna have to wait awhile before I scrape up scheckles for a 00 But I’d be willing to make a small wager that eventually I’ll have an 00 frame hopefully with 26” barrels .

I have two OO frame 28's a straight grip skeet with 28 inch barrels and a pistol grip gun with 26 and 28 inch barrels. I don't know if it's the straight VS pistol or 28 VS 26 but I much prefer the straight grip and longer barrels.

My VH 28 and DH 12 3 frame appeared today . I was quite pleased . When I got home I test fired the 28 with two skeet loads then tried my buckshot handloads . SR7625 , Universal Clays and W572 seemed to work well with #1 , 2 and 3 buckshot .
