Default PH 12

Well, I finally got the PH in the mail..the stock that was on it is horrible..(and not original anyway) but I did get a semi-inletted stock with it. The receiver is all patina'd, as well as the trigger guard, the metal is still very nice, no pitting or "rough" spots. Some very very slight hints of case colours remaining..

The barrels are twist 30", outside has some mild surface rust freckling along with several small dents/dings as well as a dent at the left barrel muzzle. Action does lock up tight for the most part, just very slight movement. The bores are my biggest concern!! They are, to me anyway, pitted very badly..There is some pitting at the end of the chamber (at the forcing cone) and the worst of it continues on for about half the length of the bores. I'm wondering if backboring could be a solution...that is if the barrel wall thickness can support that.

Will post pics of the gun sometime today if I get the chance..
