Default SASS Event

The stars aligned and my Saturday opened up so I ran up into lower Michigan last weekend and shot a SxS event with a great group of folks with a love of SxS shotguns. SASS (Society of American Side x Sides) The Hansen Brothers were there with a nice Parker display, including the raffle gun prominently displayed with tickets handy. These guys are working hard on all of our behalf. Our Brian Hornacek was there and proceeded to kick everyone’s butt. I believe he was high in sporting clays, wobble trap and high overall with a good skeet round also. (Maybe 88/100) It was a windy day and the skeet and wobble targets were dancing pretty good. Met some fine people and shot with a great squad that included a really good 410 shooter, Dean Hepp. He shot a couples of lovely V grade Parker 410’s very well. I shot a DHE 20 in skeet, Fox HE 12 in wobble trap and my 32” VHE 20 in sporting clays. I will definitely try to make some more of their shoots.

Thanks for the report. And, those Hansen brothers are the best!

These folks know how to put on a great shoot and have a heck of a party when the guns are put away.

Was supposed to go, and then saw the weather turning cold/snowy, and my son needed help in putting on a tennis clinic after hurting his back. Looks like I missed a good time. It does look like Brian kicked butt.
Shooting the Good Friday Shoot and Fish Fry at Hunting Hills tomorrow. Havent shot a clay target since hunting season started in October.

Sorry Dan, wasn't me. Must have been some other incredibly handsome () Parker shooter. I wasn't there... honest.
