All of these sort of threads always end the same way... what is it worth?

Translation... I want to sell. Who wants to buy it?

Ok my friends, I made the decision to send it out to have the forearm replaced. I just don’t have it in me to keep the gun with a broken part and shoot it. So I sent her out to DelGrego to have it done. It appears he did the refurbish on it in the first place. It will take a while, like I might get it before Christmas but I will post pics when completed. I think it will be worth the wait!

I don't understand why you're having it replaced rather than having that simple crack repaired... the glue joint will be stronger than the wood originally was and it can be done invisibly.

It is broken thru just ahead of the forend iron. Someone before me glued it back together. Thus the reason for replacement. Unless by some miracle it can be salvaged it needs replaced. I am waiting to hear back from Larry.

Crazy Glue with an internal pin or two would fix it. Cost and time is negligible.

I use Brownells Acraglas for all stock repairs. If pinned horizontally (not showing) it will be stonger than the surrounding wood. It can also be checkered over if necessary. It will last forever and, if there is no missing wood, could be done so the crack is all but invisible.
