Need some help with a single barrel trap
I just purchased this single barrel trap gun (I think) from a 97 year old gent that said he bought it new. This is my problem although it does say stevens on the butt plate it does not have a maker mark anywhere else on the gun. It has very nice checkering a raised rib on the barrel an ivory bead front site and an ejector. A 30 inch barrel that a dime does go into. I had to take the wood off to find a number on it and that number is 100 ?? He did give another receiver with it that does say stevens on it that is very similar in many ways but not quite the same and it is numbered 125 . I can find no pictures or any reference to this gun on line or in any of my books. I am adding pictures and hoping someone can shed some light. I only bought it because he was going to turn it in to the police station for walmart credit. It seemed like such a waste of what might be a rare gun. I know this is not the for sale section but if someone wants to rescue this gun you can pm me it has quiet a few stock issues but they can most likely be corrected. I will post pictures any help would be great
