174205 is listed as a 16 gauge VHE, capped pistol grip with 28" barrels

Contacted current owner and he transposed the number it is 172405, thank you.

I bought a P grade 20 gauge once, that turned out to be a 16, once I got it home.

I once asked a seller the serial number of the gun he had for sale, and he gave me the correct number. That was 45 years ago and I've never had that happen since.
