Raised in New England and went to my Freshman year of college in South Dakota..........that was culture shock for me.............love the forests of the North East.............but we each need our own perspective or life would be boring........

Apparently that's the long grass prairie of eastern KS, NE, OK, IA and points east. The short grass prairie of western KS, NE, SD, and eastern CO and WY looks completely different, especially after things turn brown in August. Still beautiful in its own way
