Sure would be fun to be rich. I own hundreds of nice old guns, but I've been collecting for 50 years. I wonder if I could turn some M-1's, 03's and trapdoors into Parkers.
Trouble is, this is not the time to sell a gun. No one has got the scratch. I actually was almost rich for a while and then the stock market.....well.......you know. I figger rich means a million or so in disposable cash. The value of the property that I own? Well......same thing........ But I'll tell you what, the guns that I own and the few Parkers that I have are a souce of not only pride, but lots of fun. The great things about guns, to a gun nut, is that when you open your safe and pull one out, it is just as wonderful as the day you bought it. Not much stuff is like that. Not even most women. Mine bitches like hell when I put her back into that safe. |
