Default Took a Walk !

Haven't hunted Pheasants much since the last of my three Brits died a few years back but yesterday I decided to take a walk with a Good Friend of mine and his Pointer ! Thought it might be nice to take the Old C Grade 20 Gauge along and get the cobwebs off of her , seems it still work pretty well ! A really nice day out !

Tell us more about the gun. It must have been a very nice walk, indeed.

Wow, very nice Russ. would have looked a lot different today, assume you got the same heavy wet snow we got here. Beautiful gun. maybe time to get another dog.

Hello Garry , the gun is a CHE 20 Gauge ,Early Remington Era Gun so there isn't much info. on the gun ! The gun was ordered by Nathaniel L Breedlove ,May 1938 and still carries the Silver Shield with NLB Engraved on it ! I have owned the gun for many years , It has a Straight English Style stock with an odd checkering pattern for a C Grade , Fancy but not like any other I have ever seen ,the stock has the correct serial # as does the Forend Wood ! The Barrel Wedge engraving is Runge according to all the Professional eyes that have ever seen it ,also hs 26" Barrels with a small Beavertail Forend !I wish the IBM Cards would have more information ! It is built on the standard O Frame and weighs about an even 6 Lb. ! Very comfortable gun to carry !

Russ, please give everybody a treat (myself as well) and please show us the full length of the stock with that beautiful checkering? I think that CHE 20 of yours is the nicest Remington Parker I’ve ever seen.

We went a couple of weeks back ,I carried a VH Grade 20 and got a pair of Pheasants that day also and my Buddy got one ! This week his shooter wasn't shooting straight and the second bird I got I was backing him and that was a limit for me and he missed the next two and the dog had enough , I think he had enough as well ! We had a Great Time ,here in Pa. this late season is something relatively new to us !
