I bet if you dig around in some of those closets you just might find you already have something that’ll work

Darn Craig, now I'm going to have to get me one of those antique autoloaders to play with you boys at Mike's.
Cutts I kinda agree with you , but a Polychoke makes me ill . We’ve had that 11F for a little while it’s a nice pointing gun all be it a touch short in the stock .

That forearm wood is certainly nothing that ever came out of Ilion. The receiver with serial number 230266 was put in work right at the end of 1920. That breechbolt with MODEL 11 on it is from the late 1930s to the end of production.

While one could get a SKEET choked barrel for a Model 11, Remington never catalogued a Model 11 Skeet Gun. The Skeet Gun was a SPORTSMAN.

The barrel on 230266 is marked FULL in front the barrel engraving . So most certainly it didn’t leave the factory with the Cutts . I didn’t think the forend was factory , but I pulled it off Thursday and it gave me reason to question my original opinion .

Default Congratulation Craig you have to start somewhere!

Sorry I'm late to the dance guys, but your playing my SONG! Lol

I've been chasing these "Old Battleaxes" for a good number of years.

Craig I'm glad one came along to break the ice with, not literally though!

I live about 25 miles from where J.J Blanks lived in Trezevant, TN.

A good friend of mine actual shot both the gun he won the GAH with in 1907 and the Presentation No.6 Premiere (F) Grade that Remington awarded him with years ago with Jeff J. Jr.

I won't highjack Craig's post with a bunch of photos but can post some if there are any specific requests.

Good luck with your seach for others Craig!

Will

Default Not to let Dr. Drew Outdo me!

Here are some of my favorite ads from what I call the "Golden" period of Remington Advertising. Which ended in my opinion, even though I love Lynn Bogue Hunt, with the "Bears" campaign!

Enjoy, Will
