I would like to create my own Duck Stamp Special. I am fond of the 1959-60 Duck Stamp by Maynard Reece. See below. Of course it would have to be a Yellow Lab.

The Lab depicted was "King Buck" and was owned by John Olin. After that stamp, the rules were changed to prohibit dogs or hunters in the duck stamp. A friend of mine who won the Mich Duck and trout stamp competitions 7 times had a scene with hunters in one of his winning duck stamps. Again, rules were changed. No more hunters.

In my case, it meant that I screwed up, and posted my note twice. Now, I know that it is good stuff, but not so good that anyone would want to read it twice. Unfortunately, you can't delete posts - the best you can do is edit them, and replace the duplication with "xxx".

The Duck Stamp special was finished in "French Grey".
What was that?

Just a chemical solution that very lightly etches the surface leaving a gray tone.

I don't know what chemical solution is used but I soaked my woodcock gun's trigger guard in pure vinegar and got a similar result.
