We are lucky that you are willing to do your job.
No one else could do it.
You actually could hold us hostage. Don't get any ideas, though.
George,
Agreed, Dean's job is very important and we are very lucky to have him but he will agree that you and everyone else that contribute articles to each issue also need a round of applause. Parker Pages only works when our members take the time to submit their stories and by doing so we get a great Magazine and make Dean look good in the process.

Agreed Larry. The quality magazine we all enjoy so much is the result of the cumulative efforts of everyone involved with each issue.

Default Answer to Gary's article in the Parker Pages

In Gary's article on the Cow Gun, he asks why some entries in the stock books have red ink. The answer is that when Roy Gunther reviewed the data, some of the entries were too faded for the copy machine to show clearly. Evidently he was able to read the original entry and used a red pen on the printed copy. You also see occasionally that Gunther used a yellow highlighting marker on some of the data. Mystery solved.

Thanks Chuck. Where did you get the confirmation that Roy Gunther had made those red entries? Was it Mark Conrad who told you?
I had recently tried to contact Mr. Gunther to ask him personally but failed in finding him.
I had been told by a couple of people that they "thought" it was Roy Gunther who had done it but I was looking for first-hand confirmation of this, for my own edification.

Dean, as I recall, Bill Mullins told me that either in an e-mail or in person. Roy Gunther is not listed in the membership roster. Perhaps, he's passed away.

Indeed. Even if 98% of what we do is perfect, heck who cares about the other 3%
