The good news is that our Parkers have outlived quite a few viruses, and will outlive this one.

Good time to keep eyes open, two days ago a nice 1908 Colt 380 in a vintage Heiser holster walked into the local gun shop and the old guy traded up to a new 9mm gun. I picked it up for what I think was a very fair price before it went out for sale. Parkers and Colts are an expensive habit but "the old squirrel finds a nut" still applies. This crisis will pass but some folks will sell a little if needed and a nice Parker can find a good home. Post pics if you can, always good to see what you find.

The Corona Virus Gun
I had been looking for an inexpensive 16 to add to the collection and this Savage Fox Model B fit the bill. It arrived last week right before everything shut down. Phil found this gun for me on the 16 Gauge Society. Made in 1957 in the old Stevens plant in Chicopee Falls and in excellent condition. Tight as a tick, 28” barrels and 7lbs 5 oz. Certainly not Parker craftsmanship but well-balanced with great shootable dimensions. The gun has hand checkering and a nice duck scene etching on the floor plate. I’d say 60% case color remaining and the blueing shows minor thinning. No dents or pitting, this gun has been well cared for. I’ll take her out to the club as soon as I get clearance from the boss.

I'm lucky in that I don't want anything at the moment other than a side lever Frasier action to build a nice single shot 300 H&H on. I certainly don't need anything either.

Garth, my 16 gauge Fox Model B in the "best" configuration is one fine gun, in my opinion. Our friend, Kevin McCormack also has one and shoots it well. I sold him five flats of Remington slow field loads so he could enjoy it.
