Default Morphy Auction

DHE 28 gauge skeet gun just sold for $56,000. Add the 23% to that and you have $68,880.00

Wow!

The AAHE in case with hang tags has to be wrong at $2,500.00. That’s nuts

Add an extra "0" to the left of the decimal point!

Please don't hesitate to contact me if you want to chat about the results. I cataloged all of the Parkers in this sale for Morphys and am intimately familiar with all of the guns and the results.

I was a bidder on the 28 ga. DHE- Lot #2215 but it went over my limit. Really wanted that gun but had to settle for lot #2274 - a beautiful 20 ga. Trojan instead. Quite a jump down but Im weak when it comes to high condition guns. One of the better 20 ga. Trojans that I've seen and a great benchmark gun to judge the case color by.

The AAHE is not showing now. Also of note a very nice CHE 12 brought $24,600 and the DHE .410 skeet $49,200.

I "attended" the auction today (virtually), and was surprised at the unevenness of the hammer prices. As is the case in most auctions, I saw some good deals and some not so good (from an incredibly biased point of view). My wife is so glad I won't bid on single trigger guns or those with beavertail forearms. She is not as happy that I like small bore guns with composite barrels and higher shooting dimensions. Apparently, based on today, I'm not the only one.

Anyone smiling after the auction? I saw the Trojan sell. A very nice gun, and one to keep for a while.
