Matching original finishes
In the process of Color Case Hardening, we use several different formulas to match the original colors, patterns and variances for each different type of gun we process. The definitive test for correctness is to compare the finished product to another high condition original sample. Recently Josh posted a near mint condition Fox A grade. If you compare the color case with the sample Fox that I am posting, it is easy to see that they are basically the same in every way.
The stocks are not the same, but at least they are both original. The sample Fox was severely pitted and rusted requiring a complete re-cut of the engraving after considerable laser welding.
Thanks
Brad
