Default Marvin's Machines

Went to see my friend Marvin Huey, the casemaker, today. Marvin was at work building a case for a fine double gun going to Australia.

Through the help of a friend I acquired an oak and leather A&F case built for a 26" 20ga Parker. However the case still needed a little fitting, which Marvin did, and made a canvas and leather dust cover for the case.

And no visit to Marvin's is complete without looking at his wonderful German made small precision parts lathe.

And then to take a ride through the tree lined streets of Lawrence, Kansas, on a pleasant summer afternoon. Its a little two-door hardtop coupe', built in 1959.

We have an old cream yellow SL tucked away in the back corner of the garage. I think its time to start it up and take the hardtop off for the summer.
