I joined newspapers.com what a treat. Seems like Mr Walker enjoyed shooting pigeons, targets, bird hunting. Also found that he had a great rabbit dog by the name of Sport.
Back in the day the newspaper printed lots of short paragraphs about daily happenings with people in the town. An example might be Geo. H Walker had 9 close friends over for a Christmas eve dinner. Then giving a full description of the fine food. Really gives you a true feel of the person you are researching. Also some of the surrounding articles give you a feel of the time period. I have really enjoyed the research this evening. |

It can be addicting. I spent months on the computer researching the duck club and my AA 16.
