Default Last Man Standing Day

Late spring, cool, damp weather and totally henned up gobblers made for a challenging season. Toms still strutting for the girls on this the day before LMSD.
We’ve found just enough lonely ones to keep us going. Hope all had a fun and safe spring hunt.

Congrats on the birds. There were 6 Toms in my backyard this morning showing off. Of course season is now closed here in IN.

I am out in the country. The back yard is about an acre or so that I keep mowed surrounded by row crops and trees. There's something about that mowed grass that just draws the Toms in to strut, on a real regular basis. Had 2 hens roost about 40 yards in front of the house last night, they have been in that same tree for over a week now. It is nice to be able to watch them.
