If I remember correctly from the last two years, the QI in Vestal has been booked with two high school field trips at least one or two of the NE shoot days.

Just a tidbit related to the Northeast SxS heard while at a Charity sporting shoot yesterday. Hausmann's food vendor will be Ma Greenley's BBQ - the same food vendor and staffers we've seen many times at the Rock Mountain events.

I know what that little smiley face is for describing the food vendor Frank. The food and "servers" were top notch.

Let's have some feedback on the staff & logistics performance of the QI in Vestal this time - did you need to bring your own light bulbs and extension cords still? Last time I had to stay there they sent "the boy" out to get more light bulbs - none in the house!! - and he was gone so long we just walked across Vestal Parkway to the drug store and bought our own 4-pack! When we had to cancel our dinner reservations because of SUNY Binghamton's graduation weekend overflow crowds (1 1/2 hr. wait), we decided to eat in at QI's pseudo Japanese/Chinese/whatever grill - bad idea- with 4 other people in the place, our "party of two" waited 45 minutes to be served dinner. Thank God our host in Vestal Center finished his house just in time!

The only things I pay for at the QI is a clean bed, a clean shower and a toilet. I don't expect more so I'm never disappointed. If I was a 5-star kind of guy and I paid $250/night I guess I could complain. Light bulbs though? - that's inexcusable.

It was the first time that I had stayed in the long wing of the hotel. In past years it was always up closer to the entrance.

I am wondering how much longer that wing of the hotel will remain standing. Every doorframe is cock-eyed with cracks above the corners. The hallway floors are wavier than the ocean and the walls in the room had several structural cracks.

But... beyond those observations, the stay was just fine as usual.

The room was fine for the price we paid, did you expect The Four Seasons?

My friend and I stayed there as we have for a few years. I must say that we had no problems at any time. Much better than other places I have stayed and breakfast was much better than some others. As for food we went to Outback and Texas Roadhouse ,both were good.
