He was a great looking new pup and he's growing into an even finer looking little guy. Looks like he has tons of innate ability, too. You're going to have a wonderful time bringing him along and showing him how to work with you. I think you and he are going to have many fine years together. I really like nice setters.

Well the little knucklehead is close on a year old now ,he didn't pick up his old mans genes for size after all...none of that litter did apparently ,he's around 50 lbs and still a pup for sure, the second pic is him pointing on a pigeon that was just hanging around the field

Chris, puppies are individuals. My Wirehair is just getting over "puppy" at almost nine years old. Some day she will settle down. As much of a "puppy" she still is, she has always worked slow and close.

A day on the barrens always holds the hope of a few Ptarmigan ...but sometimes we settle for these,I could have taken a dozen but I wanted him to work and point them perfectly....he out found the old DD today ,kind of sad really, the old fella is still all business but is more full of piss now instead of vinager

And yes ,I know it's not a Parker ,its a Beretta....it's my beater I don't care what I run through it (except steel ,I hate it )and seems when going on the barrens I always reach for it
